**Licence not verified:** different sources cite Tobique, Curaçao and PAGCOR licences for Nova88, and none could be confirmed, as of 30 September 2026. Until it is verified, AsianBookie does not recommend this site.
Nova88 is the current name of one of Asia's best-known sportsbooks. It grew out of IBCBET and Maxbet, the brands behind the SABA sports engine, and is still valued by Malaysian punters for sharp Asian handicap odds, fast in-play markets and high limits. Alongside Nova88 bet, the site offers a casino with slots and live dealer tables. In 2025 it was announced as Aston Villa's Official Asian Betting Partner.
For this Nova88 review, we compared its licence claims, the welcome bonus, payment and withdrawal times, and the Nova88 login, APK and mirror sites. Nova88 scores highly as a sportsbook. It loses points because sources give conflicting licence information, and because the casino is smaller than at dedicated casino brands.

We could not confirm any of these with a published licence number and operating company. PAGCOR stopped licensing offshore sites that serve foreign players when the Philippines banned offshore gaming operators from 31 December 2024. Curaçao's old master licences such as 8048/JAZ were replaced by direct licences under the National Ordinance on Games of Chance from 24 December 2024. The most recent reporting points to a Tobique licence. Check the licence seal in the footer of the site you use and make sure it opens a current certificate. PAGCOR cancelled all offshore licences in December 2024, so this claim cannot be current.
Aston Villa announced Nova88 as its Official Asian Betting Partner in a 2025 pre-season statement. In October 2025, Yogonet reported that Nova88 did not appear in the partner section of Aston Villa's website, and that Nova88 does not hold a UK Gambling Commission licence (it is not licensed to take bets in the UK). The UK government has since consulted on banning sponsorships by operators not licensed in Great Britain.

No online casino or bookmaker holds a Malaysian licence. Gambling is governed by the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953 and the Betting Act 1953, which license only land-based operators, lotteries and Genting. In October 2023 the Court of Appeal ruled that online gambling is an offence under the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953, and the authorities regularly block offshore gambling domains. Muslims are barred from gambling under Syariah law. Domain blocking is why Nova88 runs mirror sites, and why so many copycat "Nova88 login" pages exist.

Nova88 bet is the reason most Malaysians use the site. It inherits the sportsbook that IBCBET and Maxbet built, and it is known for:
Coverage includes football (Premier League, Champions League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Europa League and local Malaysian leagues), basketball, tennis, badminton and esports such as Dota 2, Mobile Legends and League of Legends. Because Nova88's lines are widely followed, it is a useful benchmark to compare against other books on AsianBookie's odds pages.

Nova88's football lines come from the sportsbook that IBCBET and Maxbet built, and are known for low margins on the Asian handicap and over/under markets of the major leagues. Margins are wider on smaller leagues and specials, so compare before betting there. Nova88 also prices esports such as Dota 2, Mobile Legends and League of Legends; those markets are thinner, and odds move quickly once a series starts.

The Nova88 casino is a secondary product next to the sportsbook but covers the essentials:
The game library is smaller than at dedicated casino brands. "Nova88 slot login" uses the same account as Nova88 bet.
Nova88's casino games are a smaller offer than its sportsbook, but slot fans will find online slot games from Pragmatic Play, Playtech and Spadegaming, and the payment options include FPX, DuitNow QR, Skrill, Neteller and USDT.

| Offer | Details | Wagering |
|---|---|---|
| Welcome bonus | 100% up to MYR 888 | 12x |
| Reload | 30% on deposits | 8x |
| Weekly rebate | 0.5% to 1% cashback | None |
| Referral | Cash reward for friends who join | None |
These are the offers in AsianBookie's current listing. Earlier reviews reported a 55% welcome bonus up to MYR 550 at 8x and a first soccer bet bonus of up to MYR 200 on odds of 1.50 or higher, so promotions change over time. At 12x, the current welcome bonus is one of the fairer sportsbook offers in Malaysia, and the no-wagering rebate adds value for regular bettors. Check the promotions page before depositing.
Nova88 accepts MYR and USDT, with high deposit limits that vary by method. Withdrawals go back through the method you deposited with. Verify your account early so your first withdrawal isn't held for checks.
Nova88 offers a dedicated Android APK. There is no iOS app in the App Store, so iPhone users bet through the mobile site, which is fully optimised. Search terms like "Nova88 app", "Nova88 APK" and "Nova88 download APK" all refer to the Android app.
How to download the Nova88 APK:
Many sites offer a "Nova88 download". Only use the official site or a link confirmed by Nova88 live chat, since fake APKs are a common way to steal logins.

Before your first deposit, open your Nova88 account settings and set a deposit limit, and use a time-out or self-exclusion if you need a break. If the site does not offer a tool you need, ask support to apply it.

Nova88's criteria add up to 80 out of 100, but because its licence is not verified the score is capped at 70, and AsianBookie does not recommend it. As a sportsbook, it is one of the strongest choices for Malaysian bettors. The IBCBET and Maxbet heritage shows in its sharp Asian handicap prices, fast in-play odds and high limits. Add FPX, DuitNow and e-wallet payments, e-wallet payouts in under 30 minutes, a fair 12x welcome bonus and a weekly rebate with no wagering, and it is easy to see why the brand remains so widely used.
It loses points on transparency. Sources cite three different regulators, no licence number or operator is clearly published, and its 2025 Aston Villa partnership raised questions about unlicensed sponsors in English football. The casino is also smaller than at dedicated casino brands. If you still choose Nova88, it fits Malaysian football bettors who want sharp odds and high limits. Log in only from a bookmarked official mirror or the Android app, verify early and withdraw regularly. Compare it with other options in our sports betting guide.
