Mason Greenwood and Matteo Guendouzi are under investigation by UEFA following a Champions League match between Lyon and Fenerbahce.
After the final whistle, some Lyon fans attempted to enter the pitch while the Fenerbahce players were celebrating.
Matteo Guendouzi, a Fenerbahce player, claimed that he had been disrespected by the home supporters, who allegedly insulted him and his family before the match.
Speaking after the game, Guendouzi stated that he was aware that in France, the authorities often intervene to stop such behavior and potentially stop the match.
Greenwood, another Fenerbahce player, was also involved in the incident and the pair are now under investigation by UEFA.
Fenerbahce has released a statement confirming the investigation and stating that they will present their defense to UEFA to protect the rights and interests of their players.
The pair could face punishment, including missing the opening match against Roma in the Champions League, which is scheduled for next week.
