Ismael Bennacer, a midfielder from Algeria, has left AC Milan to join Al Gharafa in the Qatar Stars League. The move was made by mutual consent, as announced by AC Milan on Monday.
Born in France, Bennacer had joined AC Milan from Empoli in 2019. During his time at the club, he helped the team win the 2021/22 league title. However, Bennacer faced recurring knee injuries that limited his progress and led to loan spells at Olympique de Marseille and Dinamo Zagreb.
As a result of his fitness problems, Bennacer had not played a competitive match for AC Milan since 2025.
