Luka Modric Aims to Continue Playing Internationally

Croatia's captain, Luka Modric, has expressed his desire to continue playing international football for as long as he feels capable.
At 41 years old, Modric is still under contract with AC Milan until the end of the 2026/27 season, and the Serie A team is open to a 12-month extension if he maintains his form and fitness.
With 206 international caps, Modric is just two behind Lionel Messi and 28 off Cristiano Ronaldo, both of whom may have played their last international games.
Despite his advanced age, Modric feels good, has the passion and ambition to continue playing, and is willing to take things one game at a time.
He stated, "I feel good. I still have passion, ambition, and strength. As long as I feel this way, I want to keep playing. How long will that be? I don't know."
Modric is taking a cautious approach, choosing to listen to his body and make decisions calmly, rather than making any rash predictions about his future.
He added, "We'll see if this is my last year or if I continue longer, but I feel good."
