As Barcelona prepare for their first El Clasico of the 2026/27 season, the team is gearing up for a crucial match against Real Madrid on October 25th.
Despite having a packed match schedule since returning from the international break on October 8th, the squad has been training non-stop. However, head coach Hansi Flick had given his players an extra day off ahead of a training return tomorrow, with Dani Olmo already ruled out of facing Jose Mourinho's team after suffering an injury in Paris.
Three players, Lamine Yamal, Fermin Lopez, and Pedri, decided to attend an extra training session at the Ciutat Esportiva, despite not being required to train. Additionally, injured stars Jules Kounde, Dani Olmo, Eric Garcia, Andreas Christensen, and Roony Bardghji were involved in their individual recovery programs.
Among the injured players, only Kounde has a chance of featuring against Real Madrid, and he should be in the matchday squad after recovering from an ankle sprain.
