Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has spoken about the comparisons between his team and La Liga leaders Barcelona ahead of their upcoming match.
Los Blancos have won four consecutive matches, including a 4-1 victory over RB Leipzig, as they begin to show promise under Mourinho's leadership.
However, despite Madrid's recent form, Barcelona have won six of their last seven matches against Madrid in all competitions, and could move nine points clear of their rivals after a strong start to the season.
Mourinho has stated that he believes the comparisons between the two teams are unfair, as he is still in the early stages of rebuilding Madrid after joining the club in the summer.
"I think the people who thought Barcelona would easily beat us will continue to think that," Mourinho said. "Just because we won against Leipzig or Paris, they won't change their opinion."
"People look at us as if we're a finished product, but in football, finished products are rare because they're always changing. We're still in the early stages of our process, and I think it's unfair to compare us to teams who have been together for a longer time."
Real Madrid have four matches before the next international break, including a trip to Barcelona, Racing de Santander, and Valencia in the league, and a match against AEK Athens in Europe.
