Barcelona Defender Xavi Espart Out for Seven Weeks

Espart has played nine games for Barcelona this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists. Unfortunately, he will join several other defenders who are already injured, including Andreas Christensen, Jules Kounde, and Eric Garcia.

Joao Cancelo, Balde, Pau Cubarsi, and Gerard Martin are the only available defenders in the squad. Given the injury timeline, Espart may not play again in 2026, with Barcelona's final game of the year scheduled for December 20.
