Aston Villa captain optimistic ahead of Barcelona clash

Aston Villa captain John McGinn is optimistic about his team's chances in the upcoming Champions League match against Barcelona. Villa has a perfect record in the Champions League, having beaten Club Brugge, Fenerbahce, and Viking, while Barcelona has struggled lately, including a loss to Paris Saint-Germain in their last match.

Barcelona is currently ranked eighth in the European standings after losing two of their last three matches across all competitions. In contrast, Aston Villa is in second position in the league phase, with a strong performance under manager Unai Emery.

McGinn believes that his team can cause problems for Barcelona, citing the Spanish side's world-class players and their humility to work together as a team. He also emphasized that Aston Villa's success is built on the fact that no one player is bigger than the others, and that they have their own players who can cause damage to Barcelona.

Villa has had limited success against Barcelona in the past, with only one win in their four historical meetings. However, a win on Tuesday night would be a significant achievement, and manager Unai Emery is looking to pull off a masterclass.
