Mohamed Salah is thriving in Turkey with Trabzonspor, and his impressive performance has earned him two significant awards.
As the first player in Turkish league history to register 10 goal contributions in his first seven games for a club, Salah has become a fan favorite.
With his two-year contract with the seven-time Turkish champions, he has become one of the highest-paid players in the league, and his hard work has more than justified his wages.
Journalist Mohamed Kaoud reports that Salah will be awarded Turkish citizenship, along with his family, as a result of his contributions to the country.
Additionally, Salah will receive the State Medal for Distinguished Service in recognition of his impact on the sports and tourism sectors in Turkey.
Trabzonspor holds Salah under contract until 30 June 2028, and at 34 years old, he has a lot more to offer as the club faces Freiburg in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
