Everton captain James Tarkowski believes his teammate Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has earned a spot in the England national team. Dewsbury-Hall's recent performances have been impressive, and Tarkowski thinks he deserves international recognition.
In their Carabao Cup match against Newcastle, Dewsbury-Hall made three key passes, successfully completed every attempted dribble, and covered 11.9 kilometers, the second-highest distance of the game.
Tarkowski thinks Dewsbury-Hall's consistency is worthy of international recognition, especially with England's upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures against Croatia and Spain. This could be Dewsbury-Hall's chance to make his senior international debut under manager Thomas Tuchel.
Tarkowski praised Dewsbury-Hall's skills, saying, "He's top level. He really is. I think he's developed a confidence now where he wants to be the one to make the difference all the time. He takes the ball constantly and he's been terrific for us."
Tarkowski also thinks Dewsbury-Hall should be in the England set-up already, but acknowledges the competition is strong. "It's tough for him," Tarkowski said.
