Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has spoken about his feelings after being informed last season that the club had no plans to extend his contract.
Mac Allister has made a positive impact under manager Andoni Iraola this season, scoring four goals, including three in the Champions League, while also contributing one assist.
He believes that recent changes could lead to renewed negotiations.
"First of all, I feel a great affection from the fans, and that's something incredible for me. It's not easy to be appreciated at a club like Liverpool, but I'm enjoying it a lot," he said in an interview with an Argentine journalist.
"Winning a Premier League title with this club is something very special, and I'm grateful for the fans' appreciation. We're currently in a situation where I have a year and a half left on my contract. Last season, I was told that the club didn't plan to renew it, at least for now. That was a difficult situation for me."
